Can We Save/Deliver Our Own Soul From Eternal Destruction?

Today I read in Job (Iyov) 40 and wanted to share. Something important here to note.

1Moreover the L_RD answered Job, and said:

2 “Shall the one who contends with the Almighty correct Him?
He who rebukes God, let him answer it.”

3 Then Job answered the L_RD and said:

4 “ Behold, I am vile;
What shall I answer You?
I lay my hand over my mouth.

5 Once I have spoken, but I will not answer;
Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further.”

6 Then the L_RD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said:

7 “Now prepare yourself like a man;
I will question you, and you shall answer Me:

8 “ Would you indeed annul My judgment?
Would you condemn Me that you may be justified?

9 Have you an arm like God?
Or can you thunder with a voice like His?

10 Then adorn yourself with majesty and splendor,
And array yourself with glory and beauty.

11 Disperse the rage of your wrath;
Look on everyone who is proud, and humble him.

12 Look on everyone who is proud, and bring him low;
Tread down the wicked in their place.

13 Hide them in the dust together,
Bind their faces in hidden darkness.

14 Then I will also confess to you
That your own right hand can save you.

And there you have it, at verse 14. God is telling Job, that if Job can be like God is, do all God does, Him being Soveriegn Creator…then God will confess to Job that his own right hand can save him. So what does this tell us? That only God’s right hand can save us. Salvation comes only from Him! His way! Not our own way or methods! Doing good deeds do not nullify or remove one’s sin before God. No amount of our doing good deeds is ever going to pay off the penalty for our sins before a holy and just G_D.

10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Yeshua/Jesus Messiah/Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” – Acts 4

Praise the L_RD!
